What it costs not to do this.
Most people with chronic anxiety have already paid a lot — in time, money, and energy — and still don't have what they came for. Here's how the maths actually plays out.
“That’s expensive” — compared to what, exactly?
When you see the fee, I know what happens next. You convert it into therapy sessions in your head. Fair enough — that’s the unit everyone knows. So let’s do the conversion properly.
With a recent client, I counted it up. Every clearance she ran and logged. Every wound healing audio I sent her. The healings we did live. Then I priced each one the way weekly work is priced: one per session, one a week. It comes to roughly 52 sessions. A year of weekly appointments. We got through it in four weeks.
Two things are going on in that number, and I want you to see both.
The first is the container. The work isn’t confined to a weekly hour. My clients have direct access to me between calls — they message me every time they do a clearance, and when someone’s about to clear the wrong thing (everyone does at first), I redirect them: not that, this. Wound healing audios go out between sessions. An assessment pinpoints exactly where to begin. In the weekly model, the session is the container: the work happens inside the hour, then waits. Here, the session is the steering wheel. The car is moving all week.
The second is the counting itself — and here I should own something. I counted one clearance as one session. That’s the generous version of the maths — generous to the comparison, not to me. Because a clearance isn’t shaped like a session. It takes a single theme through six dimensions and clears both poles of it — the wanting and the dreading, the love and the hate. All of that goes down as one tick in my tally. What it would come to delivered an hour at a time, I don’t know — so I haven’t guessed. 52 is the floor, not the ceiling.
A therapy hour and a clearance are doing different jobs, and I’m not pricing one against the other to say which is worth more. I’m answering the only question you’re actually asking, which is what this costs next to the thing you already know the price of.
So here’s the like-for-like figure. Take a session rate — your therapist’s, or the going rate where you live — and multiply it by 52. That’s the conservative total to hold this fee against.
Four weeks is a lot. A year is more. And 52 was me rounding in your favour.
